If you want to take a tour that connects you to the spirit and wisdom of Sedona, this is the Jeep,your to take. We were so blessed to have Larry Sprague as our tour guide. Larry shared so much wisdom about the land and the spirit and he was also funny and personable. The highlight was when he played his woodwind on one of the lesser known vortexes. If you want the real deal, this is the only tour you should take .

Larry Sprague was our jeep tour guide. Larry was very knowledgeable and you can certainly tell why he has been doing this type of thing for nearly 30 years. Larry explained all about the vortex line as well as how it all ties in together with mother earth. Larry also pointed out the rock formations, the names and a little history about them. This was my second jeep tour in the last 18 months. The first guy was good and he took you to beautiful places but said nothing about vortex lines. Larry takes you to those beautiful places as well as gives you the earth spiritual side if you are interested. If you show no interest in learning about vortex lines, he will avoid much of that talk and fill in with other talk. There is no way you can learn as much as we did on your own.

We had only one day in Sedona. The three hour jeep tour was a huge disappointment. The jeep never went off road. We stopped at 3 places full of other tourists while the quide expected the participants to experience some sort of cathartic experience while a helicopter flew over and a front end loader rattled around nearby. We did walk to a stream where one tourist threw threw a huge stick in the water for a dog to retrieve as another shouted at her for disrupting the peace. We could have driven to the same spots. What in the heck was the purpose of a jeep????? Go hiking on your own. Do not waste money on this jeep scam. Please note that I rarely consider writing a bad review but here I take exception. I am still dismayed that this scam has previously gotten good reviews.

We have completely revised the itinerary on this tour, and retrained the guides leading it. The tour visits a special place in the western canyons called Mystic Vista, and the discussions revolve around what's unique about our high desert, and also how others view it. We no longer stop at the medicine wheel behind the Bed & Breakfast. I would recommend those planing to do this tour to reserve ahead and go either in the morning or late afternoon when the photography is best and you have the best chance of seeing animals.
