Private Segway Tour of South Beach

Overview
We are currently OPEN for private (you/family) tours… (I’ve had both covid vaccine shots and I'll be wearing a mask)— You pick the time you'd like to go.

All our tours are private, so it would just be you and your party + a guide (moi).
I've spent a dozen years as a Lifeguard on a number of Miami's beaches and know much of what it used to be like... and how it's been transformed.
I've been doing these Segway Tours since 2007 and have been awarded TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence every year since I've been in business i.e. every year since 2007.
And SEGWAYSOUTHBEACH was the very first .COM touring company to get approval from the City of Miami Beach to begin operations on the beach.
On South Beach we go 7 miles and it usually takes about an hour and a half.

After you book ANY day / time (you can always cancel before that day without any fee), we'll be able to communicate directly with you... to ensure your tour is private, change, update, clarify anything.

We began our tour at 8:00 a.m. on a June morning. It was beautiful- the perfect time of day in South Beach for a Segway tour. None of us (husband/wife and two teens) had ridden Segways before. It was easy to learn and to get balanced. We were ready to go within minutes. We enjoyed a ride along the beach walk, Art Deco district buildings, and Lummus Park. Our tour guide, Mike, pointed out several places of interest such as Versace mansion and Fisher Island, various restaurants and clubs. He stopped and took photos of our group several times and also took some video of us riding. My husband noticed another Segway tour and commented to me that the other tour looked pretty lame with everyone riding in a straight row, etc. Score 1 for the trip planner (me). Our tour began and ended at the Ritz Carlton which was near our hotel. We pretty much went straight south from there and back, but the return trip a different route. You do not go to Lincoln Road area, so plan to see that on your own. Also, if helmets are important to you, ask when you book about if those can be provided. We weren't offered them, but we were cool with that. Riding a bike would probably be more dangerous, although the Segways do have some peculiarities which Mike explains. We felt good upon finishing the tour and legs/ feet were not sore or tired, but we are all in decent shape. Mike takes cash or checks made to cash upon finishing the tour so you do not need to pay in advance. He took my cell# and kept in touch the night before and morning of the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see more of South Beach and wanting to try Segways. We had an amazing time!

Mike was a great tour guide. It was nice having our own private group tour on our own schedule. It was a fun way to see South Beach!

Very good private Segway tour of Miami Beach. Since we were experienced riders there was no need to spend a lot of time learning how the Segways worked. Note that Segways are not allowed on the major pathways so the guide has to work around that as you see all the major sights along the way (the deco hotels, Versace villa, etc). If you envision yourself riding along the ocean, think again. Recommend that you do this early in the morning when there isn't as much foot and car traffic. Ultimately, this is a great way to cover a lot of ground and get a nice feel for the Miami Beach area.
