Leave the driving to us! The price listed is for all 10 seats in a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter van with 2 rows of reclining seats and all rows have phone charging and cup holders.

Lava is back! For the BEST experience see it at sunrise, book the 3 AM start, then have breakfast at the Volcano House after seeing some of the National Park. All-time zones are behind Hawaii so early isn't as early when you consider what time it is where you are from.

This Park is a World UNESCO Heritage site, get the most out of your visit to this treasure.

HVNP takes approximately 4 hours with the current lava situation and includes Halemaumau crater, Nahuku Lava Tube, pit crater, lava tree molds, fissure crack, Pele’s hair, steam vents, pahoehoe, a’a. Meals are usually at the Volcano House because it has the best views of Halemaumau Crater. Several modifications can be made, usually by removing some stops in HVNP.

We explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Visitor Center,3D map with fully narrated explanation of the island and it's 5 Volcanoes. Steam vents, Mt Kilauea, Caldera and Halemaumau Crater. Lunch Opportunities at Volcano House, travel down chain of Craters rd, observe old Lava flows, Lava trees and the fabulous Giant Fern forest. Tours are Private so we can spend longer in the park.

Nahuku - Thurston Lava Tube

See one of the best lava tubes in Hawaii complete with rainforest and jungle. The Park can close the lava tube at any time but has rarely done so.

This day was the highlight of our week in Kona. Our driver/guide, Chris, was excellent with all ages from little kids to grandparents. Modified the trip as needed when we asked and just made it the perfect day for our group. In addition, Jodi did a wonderful job helping us plan our whole trip, not just the volcano day. Her recommendations for other operators, restaurants, and everything Big Island were amazing.

We booked a private tour with Rob & Jodi and were not disappointed! Jodi picked 4 of us up at our condo in Waikoloa in a clean and comfy air conditioned van. On the day across the island, she shared lots of great information about Hawaii and prepared us for what we would see in the park. Jodi is a certified guide and we can't imagine a better way to navigate and learn about all that the HVNP has to offer. The day of the tour, we saw a live lava flow. It was COOL!! We stopped for lunch at the Volcano Restaurant, which was very enjoyable. We walked through the Thurston lava tube, and on the way passed by giant ferns over 30 feet and hundreds of years old. Jodi knew the park so well, she could ensure we saw the best of the park, but missed the rain storms. We saw much more than can be written in this review. In addition to the park, we went to the black sand beach at Richardson beach, and saw Rainbow Falls. Having a private guide made the experience so much better!! We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a tour with Big Island VIP! We will use them again.
