Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. My three kids, niece and nephew had the BEST time with Duke. He really took the time to show them the ropes before hopping in the water. He was very attentive to all of them while they were in the water as well - even taking the time to talk to them and have them hop on their board in the water so he can correct them on proper form. My kids, niece and nephew all wanted to have another lesson with Duke...that same day LOL. We will definitely be booking with Rivers to the Sea again when we come back to Maui. I definitely recommend!

Everyone in our group was able to get up on a board. Instructor was great and very patient. We all had a blast!

My 18 year old son and I took a lesson with our friends, a family of four with two young children. We had two instructors, Justin and Eric, both were great. The introduction and on the beach lesson were both professional (but fun) and the actual surfing was great. Every single one of us stood up and rode at least one wave. We had an absolute riot - I would highly recommend this company to anyone. *I am way out of shape and still participated and had a wonderful time.
