Whether you’re a total novice or have some past experience, this private surf lesson in Kona provides one-on-one instruction on how to tackle Hawaii’s famous waves, whether big or small. Head into Kahalu'u Bay to practice your newfound skills on some of the Big Island's best beginner waves! A knowledgeable surfing instructor will be with you, telling you when to paddle and when to pop up.

The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. My son and I signed up for semi private lessons and Eli was an amazing instructor, who gave my 12 year old confidence to get up and ride the waves almost immediately. He had so much fun, he did another group lesson on his own later in the week. Everyone should try this at least once and there is no better, more beautiful spot to do it than Kahalu’u bay. Even better, they have an arrangement with a photographer, so when you do get to ride the waves, the moment is captured and you have some great photos to hold onto!

Both of our kids (12 and 9) felt like this surf lesson was their favorite part of vacation. The instructors were great with kids and we felt like the safety was top notch. Do not miss this tour if your kids love adventure in the water!
