Overview

Sometimes the best way to get closer is to get away. There’s no better place to spend quality time together than Hawaii’s North Shore, and you haven’t seen the island until you’ve seen it by horseback, riding through the forest trails and overlooking the ocean.
This is a unique and unforgettable experience, far away from all the noise of the regular tourist spots. You’ll see a side of Oahu that many don’t know about and enjoy a private picnic together, complete with delicious sandwiches on fresh homemade bread, fruit, and a bottle of sparkling cider. The highlight of the ride is a sweeping panoramic view of the ocean from our lookout point, where you can take in the full scale and beauty of the island. (If you can take your eyes off each other, that is.)

How to find a quiet/private place on Oahu to propose to your girlfriend? Well that wasn't easy. But I am very glad that I eventually found the Gunstock ranch. Our wrangler Zeus guided us through the beautiful hills of the Gunstock ranch during our sweetheart ride. After about an hour he set up lunch for us at a beautiful viewpoint. The perfect place to pop the question. Luckily she said yes and we had a wonderful ride back. But even if you're not proposing and are interested in seeing the beautiful nature of Oahu go to the Gunstock Ranch. We will definitely come back for one of our anniversaries. Thank you Zeus and to the entire Gunstock team for making it a perfect day for us.

My wife and I love to ride and thought that this would be a nice addition to our honeymoon. It was a spectacular decision. The horses were well behaved; we got to canter and have a beautiful lunch with just my wife and me. We had a guide that took us to the top of a hill, along a trial, and when we got there, she took some photos of us, then gave us a bottle of sparkling cider and our lunches. The lunches were nothing special, but the service and quality of the people were fantastic! They had a photographer take a bunch of photos of us riding t Within the first mile or two of the ride and she made it well worth our money. The photos were terrific, and she was able to make some magic happen, running (literally) from point to point to ensure she was ready to go and set up for us before we got there. Well worth it; I really recommend!!

In the 30 years I have paid to ride a horse instead of my own around the world this was by far the best ride. Leanna and Macy assessed that my daughter and I knew how to ride so we actually went faster than a normal nose to tail ride. We stopped for a catered lunch with sparkling apple cider where we could look out over the ocean and swing over the valley. It was so much fun. We can’t wait until we go again.
