Private Sweetheart Horseback Ride

Overview

Sometimes the best way to get closer is to get away. There’s no better place to spend quality time together than Hawaii’s North Shore, and you haven’t seen the island until you’ve seen it by horseback, riding through the forest trails and overlooking the ocean.
This is a unique and unforgettable experience, far away from all the noise of the regular tourist spots. You’ll see a side of Oahu that many don’t know about and enjoy a private picnic together, complete with delicious sandwiches on fresh homemade bread, fruit, and a bottle of sparkling cider. The highlight of the ride is a sweeping panoramic view of the ocean from our lookout point, where you can take in the full scale and beauty of the island. (If you can take your eyes off each other, that is.)

We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

My husband and I enjoyed this ride, and we were lucky enough to be guided by Greg, one of the owners of Gunstock. Kipp & Shaka were sweet, calm horses, and only stopped for vegetation nibbling once in a while. :) The conversation was very interesting, and we learned a lot about the ranch, the programs, especially planting of Hawaiian flora. The views were spectacular, lunch was delicious, and I had fun on the swing! It was worth signing up for the sweetheart ride, and we really enjoyed it.

I simply can't say enough good things. My nine year old daughter and I went riding with Kenzie, one of the wranglers. She treated my daughter wonderfully, never condescending to her and providing constant encouragement. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the horses do not seem to be overridden as can sometimes be the case, and the scenery is incomparable. The highlight was a swing at lunch overlooking a cliff which my daughter promptly dubbed the "swing of death" and then spent 20 minutes on it. Overall, we could not recommend this place highly enough.

We had the best sweetheart ride ever! And our guide was super sweet and very informative! Would definitely recommend the picnic was excellent as well! We got great photos and wonderful memories to take back home!
