Private tour of Red Rocks, Echo Lake, Mount Evans and Idaho Springs.

Overview
All my tours are private and customized to the client. I have my commercial insurance and I am certified to drive passengers by the State of Colorado. I am somewhat of a history buff and have many tales of the Colorado Wild West as well as my family history of the Hatfields and the McCoys. In addition I am a certified Internatational Guide and I have traveled extensively inside and outside the US. As a child I learned about other cultures as I lived in Switzerland and France and as an adult Mexico and Colombia. I love showing people the beautiful mountains of Colorado and the history behind the areas that we will visit. Please note that Mount Evans will be closed during part of the winter and spring due to icy conditions on the road. It is usually open all summer into mid fall. If closed I will take people up to the Continental Divide which is about 12,000 feet above sea level.

What To Expect
1
Denver Union Station
From Larimer Square we will continue to Union Station. Union Station is the center for all public transportation in Denver. It has a 22 bus depot unter the station and is the center for trains and light rail for the city.
2
Larimer Square
We will visit the iconic Larimer Square where there are over 40 shops and or restaurants in one square block. It is also the birth place of Denver. Devner was established by General Larimer in 1859 when he and several others came out here in search of gold. The rest is history.
3
RiNo Art District
We will see the iconic art work on the murrals of the various businesses in the RiNo neighborhoods. This has been an up and coming neighborhood that hosts many micro breweries, yoga studios, food courts, cafes and more. It has been written up numerous times as the place to visit in Denver.
4
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
We will tour Denver first and then on to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater where we will see the famous crimson red rocks and amphitheater which is where the Beatles started their North American tour. Back then you could buy a ticket for $6.60 cents. Just about everyone famous has plaved there except for the Rolling Stones.
5
Idaho Springs
From Central City we will drive to Idaho Springs, where they boast "This is where the Gold Rush began". Idaho Springs is another quaint mining town where I usually stop for shopping and a quick bite to eat.
6
Mount Evans Scenic Byway
We will take America's highest scenic paved road and arrive at over 14,265 feet. On the way up you will see incredible mountain ranges and often mountain goats that tend to hang out at the top of the mountain. We typically spend about one hour at the top hiking around and seeing the famous Chicago Lakes.
