This private tour takes 2½ hours. You'd barely notice the time as it's less walking and more fun facts and conversation so you never get tired or bored. The tour goes through all of the Downtown San Francisco: Chinatown, Financial District (there be buried ships!), Embarcadero. We talk City's history, the Gold Rush, influential women, buried ships under the buildings, current affairs, tips and tricks to the city and many many more!

The Embarcadero

Home to several waterfront attractions, including the 1898 Ferry Building, with views of Alcatraz Island and the Bay Bridge.

It was an excellent tour. Very educational. Very friendly. I learned so much about the history of San Francisco. The financial district is built on land fill and there are ships underground. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

Filip is such a wonderful, sincere, and passionate Guide. I highly recommend taking his tour. Along with remembering all of our names, he gave his personal story of when and how he arrived in San Francisco including his experience with seeing homelessness for the first time as a teenager.

We did the free SF walking tour with Filip and it was awesome! One of the best walking tours I’ve been on (and I’ve been on quite a lot!). The information was great - a quick walk through San Fran’s history, heaps of fun facts and presented in a really fun and enthusiastic way. Very reasonable distance covered - feels like we saw a lot of SF without walking an excessive distance. I’d highly recommend this tour!
