Our tour guide was absolultely lovely and kind. She knew a lot about the buidlings and had lost stories. It just felt like a thousand stories and it felt overwhelming- I think fewer stories with more depth would be more membroabe. I also think I would have liked to go into some of the buildings with the guide- instead of breezing past everything with a constant narration. It's a lot to cover in 1.5 hours and I think I would prefer quality of quantity- maybe not seeing as much but really understanding the history. She is really a lovely person and it was an enjoyable day!

Hi Michelle. Thank you for your review as they help us improve our tours. I apologize that you weren't able to enter some of the buildings. We try to take guests through the College of William and Mary (it doesn't open until 12PM on Sundays, but is open other days at 10AM (aside from a few holidays)) as well as Bruton Parish Church (open 12PM-4PM). Sometimes, we'll walk inside the Tarpley, Thompson and Company store to admire the hand stitched 18th Century attire that seems to be right out of the Bridgerton series or we stop for gingerbread at the Raleigh Tavern. We often don't have time to do all (because it is about a 2 hour tour and we discuss adding on extra time before we start walking to see what suits each guest); however, it doesn't seem like you got to explore any. I'll give you a call and discuss a refund as our company, Best Williamsburg Tours, guarantees your satisfaction. Again, thank you for taking your time to review and helping to make sure we do a better job training our guides. I appreciate you talking with me and look forward to taking you to an amazing breakfast the next time you visit your family in Williamsburg and sharing a wonderful historic story about Williamsburg - Before and After the Restoration. With gratitude and kindness, Bambi Walters, Managing Member of Best Williamsburg Tours
