While the intimacy of a private tour was nice, and the tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the cost seemed a bit much for what it was, and we then had to purchase more tickets to enter buildings. Great tour... just a bit overpriced for me.

Hi Scott, I appreciate your honesty. Yes, to enter many of the restored Colonial Williamsburg (CW) buildings, visitors need a CW pass. The museums are covered on the CW pass or there is a very small fee around $15 if you just go to the museums. As certified guides, we can help you purchase for a discount. If you are military or a senior, there are additional discounts. We try to include Bruton Parish church when it is open and guides should cover costs for Bruton Parish (if it is open). Guides should also cover the donations for organ recitals (the organ recitals are so amazing, and, in my opinion, they are the best kept secret in Williamsburg) at the Wren Chapel on Saturday mornings. If you had to cover for either, please let me know and I'll send you a partial refund. We always want our guests to have the best experience, and if it didn't meet all you expectations and if there were hidden fees, I want to follow up with you. Thank you, Bambi Walters, Managing Member of Best Williamsburg Tours
