This was an excellent trip and I cannot recommend this enough. It was such a nice experience being the only people on the boat. Joardan knew all the spots and we saw plenty of whales, sea otters, seals, eagles. This wife even made us delicious blueberry muffins. This was the best of our excursions by far. If you are looking for a private experience, book this!

Our family of 4 had an amazing morning on the water with Captain Jordan. He picked us up at the port and we were quickly on our way to his boat. Once on board, he made us feel welcome right away. Our boys enjoyed the blueberry muffins courtesy of his wife and the hot cocoa and coffee warmed us all up. Our youngest said it was "whale waiting" because nature doesn't always offer a performance on demand but we really felt like part of the action when we would spot a whale, call it out and away we went to get closer. We saw bald eagles fishing, jumping herring, a possible bear sighting on shore, many whales and a few sea lions (or seals?). I would 1000% recommend Captain Jordan and Hoonah Whale Tours.

This was the highlight of my entire Alaska trip! Jordan was an absolutely wonderful captain and guide. He knew just how to keep us on pace with the whales, and we had wonderful sightings all day. The cocoa and muffins were a wonderful touch and much appreciated. Would absolutely recommend this to everyone.
