Private White Pocket Vermilion Tour

Overview
White Pocket is a place so remote and amazingly unique that it can feel like you have stepped

into another realm where geology decided to bend the rules.

White Pocket's geological formation is made of a thin layer of white sandstone lumped up into

mounds and cracked into polygonal shapes, somewhat like dried out whipped cream. Under

this thin white layer reigns a chaos of yellow, orange and red swirls twisting upon each other. If

you are lucky enough to hike there after a summer thunderstorm, you will enjoy a myriad of

reflection pools, creating beautiful mirroring effects and infinite opportunities of otherworldly

pictures. It is definitely a visual paradise!

I booked our guided trip by Yermo (the guides name), in October since I was able to get a permit for Coyote Buttes South. Yermo was just so personable, informative and compassionate about the environment, which for us made the trip even more enjoyable. The two areas we visited, Coyote Buttes South and White Pocket were just indescribably unique. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Yermo. You will not be disappointing.

This experience was so unique and special. We had Hunter as our guide and he made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun with him. He knows so much of the area and he was great to talk to throughout. Go see this gem of the earth before it gets overpopulated.

Beautiful tour, but what made it really outstanding was our tour guide, Hunter! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area & its history, the geological rock formations, and local dinosaur discoveries! Yermo, the owner was super responsive & provided excellent service with the booking & meeting arrangements. Gorgeous area (no permit needed) with lots of books & crannies to explore with stunning visual expanses. Worth every penny!
