We booked with Yermo after another tour company āsuggestedā we might be too old to take their white pocket tour. Boy am I glad we did. Yermo was a pleasure to deal with. When we told him our age and fitness level, he assured me we would be fine (especially since he and my husband are close in age!). He was accommodating to our dietary needs for the lunch which he provided (actually his wife who did a fantastic job!). Once we met up and visited the Dino museum, the drive started with info about white pocket. He was, however, open to discussing the environment, the surrounding areas nearby, making suggestions of other locations to visit on our trip, and discussing his background and history as a guide and work in archeology. The drive, while longer, was filled with interesting discourse so it was not too noticeable. Once we arrived at white pocket, there was a short, sandy hike into the area but then the āgood stuffā happened. The scenery, the rock formations, the sheer majesty of it was breathtaking. Yermo told us about the different layers, the holes, the formation, pointed out arrowheads and broken pottery remnants, and even knew the best spots to capture amazing images. The personalized tour was well worth the cost. I would highly recommend white pocket as a location but, if you go, make sure you go with Yermo and Seeking Adventure Treasures.
