Overview

White Pocket is a place so remote and amazingly unique that it can feel like you have stepped

into another realm where geology decided to bend the rules.

White Pocket's geological formation is made of a thin layer of white sandstone lumped up into

mounds and cracked into polygonal shapes, somewhat like dried out whipped cream. Under

this thin white layer reigns a chaos of yellow, orange and red swirls twisting upon each other. If

you are lucky enough to hike there after a summer thunderstorm, you will enjoy a myriad of

reflection pools, creating beautiful mirroring effects and infinite opportunities of otherworldly

pictures. It is definitely a visual paradise!

This trip exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Jeff was a gem! He grew up in this area so was very knowledgeable on many topics related to our adventure. He took us to many special spots to view and to photograph. Perfect weather. Very sturdy SUV on the sandy, bumpy road to get to White pocket. I would highly recommend Yermo and his company: Seeking Treasure Adventures. And Jeff for your guide.

Jeff took our family of 5 on the most amazing adventure! He is an excellent driver. I was dreading the bumpy drive there but it wasn’t bad at all. He knows everything about this area and is so calm and warm. He took us to beautiful rock formations that we wouldn’t have found on our own. My 7 year old said white pocket is one of her favorite places in the world! We are so fortunate to have been able to visit and Jeff made it so much more stress free and enjoyable! If we ever are lucky to enough to come back, we would definite ask Jeff to guide us again!
