What To Expect

Umpqua Valley Wineries

If you choose a full day tour and want to taste bigger reds such as Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon you will be taken to the Roseburg area, which is about an hour south of Eugene.

We had a wonderful day of wine tasting. Kevin was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the wines & vineyards. He took us to four fantastic wineries, Reustle Prayer, Hillcrest, Delfino and Abacela. They were all different & had their own unique charm. We enjoyed them all, had delicious appetizers at Reustle Prayer, & a wonderful lunch at Delfino, & tasted four great wines at each winery. We would definitely recommend this tour. Awesome day with Kevin touring 4 vineyards. We had 2 couples for our tour and Kevin picked us up at 10 am on a Friday in June. On our drive to Reustle Prayer Rock Kevin gave us information on the 4 places we were touring and also on winemaking. He is very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Reustle is beautiful with a great tasting facility. Kevin had a nice lunch catered for us after our wine tasting. We had a lovely lunch sitting outside on their patio overlooking the vineyard. After lunch we had a tour of the winery. Then we were off for Hillcrest, Delfino and Abacela. Each of these wineries were unique and we enjoyed the tastings in the various settings. Hillcrest was rustic, Delfino was special in that the owners sat with us and shared their story, and Abacela was bigger and seemed more commercial but was a nice venue. It was a fun day in relaxed settings. Both couples bought several bottles of wine, so we must have really liked all the wine we tasted! We bought this package at an auction and felt it exceeded our expectations. It was easy to schedule and we will certainly go again.

Oregon Vine2Wine gave me and my wife a once in a lifetime tour of four wineries in the Roseburg area. We met the owners of Delfino, Hillcrest and Reustle Prayer Rock during our intimate tastings. It was amazing hearing their stories and getting treated like we are apart of their family. We learned about the unique terroir of the Umpqua Valley, got great food/wine pairing suggestions and now know many of the variables involved in wine making. If you like wine and you want to learn more about it I highly recomment this tour.
