Overview

The park is empty since the flooding! The flooding caused zero changes to the tours that we have always operated! We will see all of the parks highlights and Iconic sites plus hidden areas! Seize the moment and come to Yellowstone during an all time low in tourism!

Our private tours are led by professional guides who have a formal education in wildlife biology. We will tour the park in modern chevy suburbans. We will see wildlife while visiting the most ICONIC destinations as well as hidden locations. During our day we will see Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Falls (308'), wildlife, large waterfalls, hidden geysers, and historic hotels. We will provide high end binoculars and spotting scopes for the entire group! It is our goal to educate your family on the science of the park and have them experience the wonder of hidden Yellowstone on each and every tour.

For lunch we will stop for an incredibly scenic picnic style lunch along the shore of Yellowstone Lake!

Old Faithful

Lower Yellowstone River Falls

At 308" tall these falls are 308 feet (94 m) high, or nearly twice as high as Niagara Falls. The volume of water flowing over Lower Yellowstone Falls can vary from 680 cu ft/s (19 m3/s) in the autumn, to 8,400 cu ft/s (240 m3/s) at peak runoff in late springtime.

Grand Prismatic Spring

What Makes the Grand Prismatic so Grand? Extremely hot water travels 121 feet from a crack in the Earth to reach the surface of the spring. The third largest spring in the world, the Grand Prismatic is bigger than a football field at 370 feet in diameter!

Hayden Valley

One of the best wildlife viewing places in Yellowstone National Park. Therefore, one of the best places to see wildlife in the world!

Yellowstone Lake

Depending on the day we might: hike, walk, view historic architecture, or possibly have a very scenic lunch right along Yellowstone Lake (largest lake in North America above 7000'' of elevation/ 126 miles of shoreline) at one of our secret secluded lunch spots!

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the most breathtaking sight inside Yellowstone National Park. Twenty miles long, the canyon is up to 4,000-feet wide and 1,200-feet deep in places. It's located on the eastern side of the park. From several vantage points, you can view Lower Falls plunging steeply into the canyon 308 feet, or the Upper Falls tumbling 109 feet.

Firehole Canyon Drive

Beautiful 40 foot waterfall at confluence of ancient rhyolite lava flows.

Firehole Lake Drive

Beautiful geysers and hot springs as well as the possibility of grazing bison!

Fountain Paint Pot

Along this short walk you will see very good examples of most types of thermal features found in Yellowstone. These features include some very pretty hot pools, steaming fumaroles, erupting geysers and probably the best easily accessed mudpots in the park. The area is highly active and at least one geyser is usually erupting here at all times.

Our guide was amazing! We not only got to see all the sights but we also learned so much from Andrea! He was very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. He made our short visit worthwhile and we would 100% recommend to others. We spent two days at Yellowstone. One day doing the north loop and one day doing the south loop. We were able to see most of the sights and animals!

If you are going to Yellowstone do not look any further than Yellowstone Adventure Tours! My sons (15 and 11) and I went on a two day tour and it could not have been better. Andrea, our tour guide, completely customized our tour based on our desired activity level and interests while also incorporating his favorite areas of the park. Together it made for the experience of a lifetime. I told him beforehand that we are an active family and he did an exceptional job of minimizing our time in the vehicle while also managing to take us everywhere we wanted to go and more. Andrea's experience and knowledge allowed us to see the park in a way that we never could have on our own. We went on walks/hikes that were off the beaten path, we had lunch at scenic locations along the river, we saw bears/elk/bison close up, and we were able to experience the beauty of many sights seemingly alone. We all had so much fun that we did not want it to end and wished it was a 3 day tour instead! If you book this tour with Derek and his team - I promise you will not regret it!

Book this tour! It was awesome! Derek (the owner) took my family of 7 on a 2 day tour through Yellowstone and we had THE BEST time! We saw and learned so much. We hiked, we saw animals, geothermal pools and geysers and all the major sites! We would have never come close to seeing all the sights we saw if we had tried to guide ourselves. The picnic lunches at 2 scenic spots were perfect both days & he packs a variety of drinks and snacks as well! We have 3 girls ages 5,6,7 & Derek was so good at keeping them entertained as well. He can tweak and adjust what you’ll see & how long your day lasts based on your group’s interests and energy levels. Since we were a larger party, we were able to put a few people in his Suburban and a few in our Suburban which followed behind him all day. We communicated through walkie talkies he provided and he made sure that both cars could hear everything he had to say, so no one missed out on a thing! Finally, Derek knows Yellowstone!! He taught us so much to begin with & throughout our adventure with him, we threw so many questions at him and he answered all of them. There was nothing he didn’t know! We were so impressed and so thankful we booked this tour and would definitely do it again!! Book this tour-you won’t regret it!
