Private Yellowstone Tour: ICONIC Sites, Wildlife, Family Friendly Hikes + lunch

Overview
The park is empty since the flooding! The flooding caused zero changes to the tours that we have always operated! We will see all of the parks highlights and Iconic sites plus hidden areas! Seize the moment and come to Yellowstone during an all time low in tourism!

Our private tours are led by professional guides who have a formal education in wildlife biology. We will tour the park in modern chevy suburbans. We will see wildlife while visiting the most ICONIC destinations as well as hidden locations. During our day we will see Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Falls (308'), wildlife, large waterfalls, hidden geysers, and historic hotels. We will provide high end binoculars and spotting scopes for the entire group! It is our goal to educate your family on the science of the park and have them experience the wonder of hidden Yellowstone on each and every tour.

For lunch we will stop for an incredibly scenic picnic style lunch along the shore of Yellowstone Lake!

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the most breathtaking sight inside Yellowstone National Park. Twenty miles long, the canyon is up to 4,000-feet wide and 1,200-feet deep in places. It's located on the eastern side of the park. From several vantage points, you can view Lower Falls plunging steeply into the canyon 308 feet, or the Upper Falls tumbling 109 feet.

Firehole Canyon Drive
Beautiful 40 foot waterfall at confluence of ancient rhyolite lava flows.
12
Firehole Lake Drive
Beautiful geysers and hot springs as well as the possibility of grazing bison!

Fountain Paint Pot
Along this short walk you will see very good examples of most types of thermal features found in Yellowstone. These features include some very pretty hot pools, steaming fumaroles, erupting geysers and probably the best easily accessed mudpots in the park. The area is highly active and at least one geyser is usually erupting here at all times.

Derek was super responsive with booking, and answered questions I had leading up to our trip. Kevin, our guide, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, accommodating and personable. Gave us a ton of history and info on everything in the park and curated a great day. Iā€™m sooo glad we booked a private tour and didnā€™t try to do this on our own. My teen aged boys loved it too. Highly recommend this outfit! Oh and PS we saw bison, wolves, elk, and capped off the day with a mama grizzly and 2 cubs less than 100 yards off the road!!

We could not have been happier with Yellowstone Adventure Tours. Derek, the owner, runs the business expertly and, prior to our trip, was very responsive to all our questions. He also communicated quickly and clearly the changing situation when Yellowstone was closed due to flooding. Our two-day tour of the lower loop was perfectly paced and so much fun. Our guide, Kevin, was outstanding.Ā  We have employed guides and guide services at other national parks and on excursions of one kind or another.Ā  Kevin is the best of the best.Ā  Personality-wise, he is easy-going and very friendly. He wants to know what your top interests are and will shape the itinerary to achieve what you like, including how early to start, how hard to push, how strenuous hikes are, etc.Ā  As a scientist (biologist), he is very knowledgeable in a way that is much deeper than book-deep or just memorizing facts (as some guides do). He is thoughtful, cares for your personal safety and your intellectual engagement, and truly knows the park, its history and mysteries, and will show you simply extraordinary views, topologies, geologic phenomena, and the big animals.Ā  I understand that many people are hesitant to engage a guide who they do not know, but Kevin is the kind of person who you will feel you have known for 10 years within an hour of meeting him.Ā  We did a 2-day tour with Kevin, starting at 6:30 each day, and we learned so much, had so many great experiences, and really fell in love with Yellowstone because of his guidance and support.Ā  We give Kevin, Derek, and Yellowstone Adventure Tours our HIGHEST possible recommendation.
