Public Art Tour in Jacksonville

Overview
The Certified Public Art Tour is the first of its kind collaboration with the renowned ArtRepublic Global. Go Tuk’n is proud to be the certified provider of this in-depth experience of our public art throughout the urban core of Jacksonville, Florida. Jessica Santiago, CEO of ArtRepublic, has stated “this tour makes us and the artists themselves proud to have Go Tuk’n bring this tour to our city. This will allow locals and visitors alike to see the works of art we have so passionately contributed to our city. The word “tour” doesn’t do this experience justice.”

You will not only see the art itself but you will learn about the artists and the inspiration behind each and every piece. By continuously collaborating with ArtRepublic Global, Go Tuk’n will maintain our ongoing knowledge of new pieces of artwork, the accuracy of the information is straight from the artists themselves and allows us to give back to our artists community.

Who knew that Jacksonville had so many cool public art installations? We saw some terrific art (murals & sculptures) that you might not otherwise see, let alone recognize that they are a part of a public art initiative. Our tour guide was great. She had so much knowledge about each piece that we saw. I have no idea how she remembers all of those details. Maybe it’s magic? This is a great tour if you like art. Especially pop-culture art or modern art. A couple of FYI’s: If you have never been in a TukTuk, be aware that it is like a souped-up golf cart. Crash protection and safety features are minimal (and they drive on city streets). TukTuk’s ususally seat six (as did this one), although they are generally better suited for four adults. Also, all of the seats faced forward, which was nicer than the back to forward “bump your knees” style tuk tuk seating that we had been familiar with.

Thank you for taking our Certified Public Art tour. We love being the only certified provider of the public art (showing off 80 murals, mosaics and statues). Yes, we love our tuk tuks. And because these are European vehicles, their safety is top rated. These are all street legal vehicles and unlike a golf cart which was not designed to be on the road, the tuk tuk body, chassis and full steel bumber are fully integrated giving it a higher than car safety rating. And Tuk Tuks have been on European roads since the 30's. And all of our drivers must pass a driving record review by our insurance company on a very regular basis. Just wanted to clarify the extensive safety features on our vehicles. Again, thank you so much for taking our public art tour. We hope to see you again on your next outing.
