Please note during the Christmas Spectacular season the entrance is relocated to the Executive Entrance located on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues (closer to 6th).

Very interesting, the history, photo's of past performers, seeing the place from top to bottom, literally. To see the mechanics under the stage and a view from the back row. Loved it!!!!!

Last minute decision to take this tour and it was worth it. We did not book in advance and got on the last tour of the day at 5pm in a very small group.Our tour guide was super funny and very professional. It was very interesting to hear about the "back story" about different parts of this historic theater. Seeing the back of house and elevators and inter workings of the theater was cool.. It is remarkable how huge it is inside. IT WAS a huge disappointment to not get to go on or see the actual stage from up close. We literally only saw it from the very back row of the very top level. It felt like the entire tour was leading up to seeing or going on the stage andwe just kept waiting to go the stage but it never happened. - Bummer- It was interesting to meet an actual Rockett but she seemed to be ready to "go home" If your a theater person I would recommend, if not it might not be your thing. Full disclosure we used a city pass for entrance and I'm not sure what the tour cost in cash but I might not have gone had I paid out of pocket.

Loved the tour! Our guide was Declan. He not only gave a great tour but was personable with each of us,asking where we were from. (All the way from Louisiana). We had a blast and totally recommend seeing a part of history.
