Did this activity as part of a cruise trip. Felt well looked after and safe and had a great guide from Sam. Saw heaps of Eagles and the countryside. Would recommend.

We had a great bus ride with our driver Byrne from the dock at Haines to where we boarded our raft, as well as from our pickup location back to Haines. He told us about the area and its history and geology and entertained us at the same time. Dave rowed our raft, and took us on a scenic six mile trip downriver. While skillfully maneuvering through occasional logs and gravel bars, we learned so much about the Tlingit way of life and their importance to Southeast Alaska from his explanations. We were a little early to see eagles because the salmon hadn’t started their run yet, but the river was beautiful and the scenery was wonderful. We would use Rainbow Glacier Adventures again.
