What To Expect

Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center

Stop off at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center to check out the exhibits and gift shop for souvenirs. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see Mojave Max, the Desert Tortoise!

Calico Hills

The kaleidoscopic colors of Calico Hills are next. Watch the hillsides for a display of pinks, oranges and reds that change throughout the day. Your expert guide can also point out the natural tanks that store water in the hills, along with ancient plants and animals preserved in the layers of ancient dunes.

Willow Spring

Stop by Willow Springs after your off-roading adventure to see the roasting pit and pictographs from the past. Your guide will talk about the native history of the area and can take some photos!

We were very disappointed in this trip primarily due to the fact that they picked us up IN the open air jeep for a 50 minute drive in cold weather with 40+ wind gusts. Our guide, who was very nice, said they no longer use the vans for transport despite that still in the details of this tour. We were absolutely chilled to our bones by the time we got there and just wanted to get it over with. Had to cut it short by at least an hour. Woke up next day congested and sick. The rocky road part was a lot of fun but honestly the ride there and back was so very miserable that we will always remember the trip but for probably not the best of reasons.

Dennis was our guide. It was a bumpy ride but worth the views. Dennis imparted so much info on the area from pick up at our hotel to return. It was cold but blankets were provided. I would highly recommend taking the tour.
