Redwoods of Marin and Mt. Tamalpais Walking Tour with Local Guide

Overview
See Marin's world-famous redwoods without the crowds on your moderately strenuous, 3 to 4-hour, guided small-group tour led by an expert local guide. Access the iconic redwood groves of charming Mill Valley on foot and navigate the quiet trails following the fern-lined canyons at the base of Mt. Tamalpais. Experience cathedral-like ancient trees in a primeval creek-side setting and explore the redwood groves for about two and a half hours. The walk begins with a shuttle from a meeting place near the ferry landing in downtown Sausalito (ferry ticket not included) and then a stroll through Mill Valley's historic Old Mill Park before heading out into the redwood forests and park-like neighborhoods.

The Sausalito Mill Valley hiking tour is an INCREDIBLE hike through the Redwood forest! We took the Ferry from SF to Sausalito where Ben picked us up and drove over to Mill Valley. From there we walked through an incredible neighborhood with beautiful homes built up the hill alongside gorgeous redwoods. The trail led up the mountain and we saw a serene waterfall, as well as beautiful scenic views. The forest is incredible and Ben is so knowledgeable about the trees and plants, as well as the history of the town. He is a local and has wonderful stories about the area's past. The group is kept small, about 5 people, which is so nice because the hike is very intimate and interactive (unlike big bus tours to Muir Woods). It is a fantastic hike, and well worth the trip outside of SF. You really feel one with nature on this adventure! As a bonus, on the ferry back we saw the Golden Gate bridge in front of the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. Would highly recommend this tour! Ben is a wonderful guide and a great person to get travel tips from!
