Resurrection Bay Kayaking Adventure

Overview
This is your opportunity for us to show you first-hand the beauty of Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. While making our way to our kayaking location, learn about life in Seward, both past and present, from your driver-guide, who will narrate as we make our way through town. As we leave the paved streets of Seward, we’ll travel along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay on the gravel surface of Lowell Road. We’ll view turquoise blue waters and beautiful mountain vistas while we travel comfortably by van to our private beach.

Upon reaching our launch location, you’ll meet your kayaking guides for a quick briefing before heading out onto the water. It’s common to encounter sea otters, harbor seals, bald eagles and leaping salmon as we kayak. We may stop to take a short walk on the beach along Tonsina Creek to view a salmon spawning stream (active mid-July to early-September). This the perfect trip for those experiencing kayaking for the first time or for those short on time.

What was supposed to be a group trip ended up being a private kayaking adventure with my husband and two sons. Our guide Emma was fun and a wealth of information about natural habitat, rock, formations, etc. to make our trip fantastic. We even saw river otters! I would highly recommend this company. We had gone on a previous kayaking adventure a few days prior, but we did not get as much information before getting into the kayak as we did with Emma.… It might’ve made our first kayaking, adventure a little bit easier…

Sunny Cove provides the best immersive Kenai experience, while respecting nature and the breath taking environment. We will never forget being able to observe glaciers, whales, otters, puffins, otters and more close up in their habitat. Kayaking in Coleman Bay was simply fantastic with out of this world views of the mountains, inlet waters, and marine life! Very impressed with the knowledge and passion towards the area and the environment shared by the entire crew with a special call out to Andrew, Sarah, and Zeke. Thank you!!!!

Maggie and Margo are the very best guides in Alaska!! They were attentive to the oldest member of our group (ME) and the youngest (8). They were informative, knowledgeable and ready to answer any and all questions. Consider a tour with this company and be certain to ask for Maggie and Margo.
