I booked this tour as a unique birthday gift for my lady friend. The crew at RVA did not disappoint! After a brief but effective training, our guide Vince(?) had us off and rolling through the paths and streets of Richmond. He was knowledgeable and treated us to a mix of old and new with substantive background, and ideas for future visits. If you're looking for a unique and fun way to get an up close and intriguing perspective of Richmond, this is an excellent way to do so!!

We were first timers on a Segway, and I have to say I was petrified at first (Richmond is a city of hills). But our guide Andrew was awesome. He taught us how to use the Segway and then we practiced a bit before our tour. I have lived in Richmond all my life and Andrew made the tour very informative and FUN. We want to sign up for more! Tip: if you volunteer first for the training, you have a longer time to practice :)

This outfit does several types of tours, and we did the 2-hour landmark tour on a beautiful October afternoon. Let me say I am 65, and generally avoid bike riding, skiing and other balance-related activities. But with Andrew’s careful instruction and good route planning, I actually felt comfortable, learned a lot and had fun. A bit unsteady for the 1at 10 minutes, but quickly got the hang of it. This tour gets you places the Trolley tour can’t get close to. We also did the Trolley tour with this group and it was also excellent. Do both - have a ball!
