American Civil War Museum- Historic Tredegar

We will not go into this museum, but we will go past it and talk about it! It is a fantastic museum for all interested in learning more about the Civil War

Canal Walk

Where Richmond started! We will ride a bit on the Canal Walk over to Brown's Island on our Landmark Segway tours!

Virginia State Capitol

Explore the grounds of the Virginia State Capitol. Here we will talk about George and Martha Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Barbara Johns, and many other Richmond notables!

Even though the day was freezing the tour was great! We had a large group about 15 people, but our tour guide was very patience teaching everyone to ride and make sure everyone was comfortable before we hit the streets of Richmond. It was a great way to see the downtown capitol area.

Very In formative...instructions from guide Chad was excellent...one note of interest - is that we had one tight call with a utility truck It was parked on sidewalk and my wife lean to one side to avoid the outside mirror pushing the guide stick towards the truck there for hitting the truck...so if in doute stop for Chad...

My sister and I took this 2-hour tour. We are 'around' 70 years of age. She is from Alaska, I am from Richmond. Lucky for us, we were the only 2 on the tour, so we had a private guide who was fabulous. First came some training in a quiet area near the office. Then on to the sidewalks and streets. Lots of history and fun facts. I would and will do this again -- maybe Monument Avenue or Hollywood Cemetery or Church Hill. Safety was a primary aspect, but so was having fun. NO mishaps. Highly recommended!
