Max per-passenger seat weight limit is 300 lbs. Passengers with bodyweights exceeding 300 lbs. can still be accommodated in our Jet or Long Ranger aircraft. An additional fee may apply, payable directly to Scenic Helicopter Tours on the day of the tour.
All passengers must be weighed at check-in per FAA regulations and in the interest of passenger safety. Only the flight crew will have access to passenger weights, and all information will be kept confidential.

Scenic Helicopter Tours

The Ridge Runner is a definite crowd pleaser! Our Ridge Runner tour is a very exciting flight over the Chilhowee Mountain Range and Bluff Mountain. The flight starts with a birds eye view of downtown Sevierville and the Tennessee Valley. As the flight progresses you will be traveling over the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and the outskirts of Pigeon Forge and Waldens Creek. With excellent views of the Smoky Mountain National Park you round the back side of Bluff Mountain over 6,000 acres of undeveloped land. While flying low over the tree tops you cross over the top of Bluff mountain where views go from 100 feet to 80 miles in the blink of an eye, it truly is a sight to see! As you head back in you will follow the sheer glacier carved rock cliff side of Bluff Mountain and Sugarloaf Mountain before heading over the beautiful rolling foothills back to the Scenic Heliport! This flight is 30 miles and averages 15 minutes.

Where do I begin? I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for our anniversary this year with something that he would never guess; getting into a helicopter is something I swore I would never do as it was a major fear of mine. After reading reviews and watching the scenic helicopter tours YouTube video located on their website (highly recommend watching) I decided to bite the bullet and conquer this fear and boy am I happy I did. This was an experience myself and my boyfriend will never forget and views you can and will only get from a helicopter. The team from start to finish were so helpful and professional. Specifically, our boarding attendant Jay, helped accommodate all of our needs for me to pull of this anniversary surprise. I booked a couples package which included a table with Tennessee cider, a basket of goodies, and a bouquet of roses for when we landed. Lastly, we couldn’t have asked for a better pilot for both of our first time. Phil not only took the time to educate us on speciality areas we were flying over, but also great conversation which helped myself feel comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed his company and we will most certainly come back to book more tours! If you made it to the end of this review, just know I had to give credit where credit is due and book the tour!!!

We had Jay as our boarding attendant. Jay was ****ing awesome!!!! He was very helpful, very direct, and easy to talk to! He answered any and all questions! Our pilot Jordan was no different! Very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas & made us feel relaxed during the whole tour. 10/10 recommend would do again and again and again! Next time in the fall to see the trees and beautiful colors!

Great tour! Flew low over the ridge. Fun! Our pilot Rico was fun and informative. But we were having fun before we ever left the ground. Our boarding attendant Jay was so much fun! We could have stayed on the ground and hung out with Jay and the ground crew all day! Great tour guys! Thank you for the best end to our trip to the Smokey’s!
