After doing a lot of research about what to do in Maui, my husband and I decided to book the Road to Hana trip since it was slated as a "must-do" by pretty much every travel blog. We both however, found it underwhelming, and hopefully this review will help shed some light on the experience for both the company and those considering booking.
- The tour guide himself was nice, but the tour company was a disaster to work with (unhelpful, wrong pick up spot, etc.). Shoutout to Johnathan and Neera (I think that was her name) for being the only 2 CSRs out of maybe 8-10 who were able to help us.
- The tour guide definitely needs a mic to be heard in the back.
- We didn't get to stop at a number of places because it's not really a wide road with street parking, so that takes away from the experience.
- There are some interesting stops, but for the price etc., it might be better to do your research and seek them out or other similar vistas/experiences yourself.
