This personalized trip was exactly as I dreamt! Chris showed us exactly what we wanted. I felt we were on a private island at certain points. He noticed weather coming in at the beginning, so made the conscious decision where to head first. He was smart, passionate, fun and the perfect host. He was a safe driver and considerate at all times. I was impressed how clean and new the vehicle was and all the extras they thought of.... towels, ice chest, phone charger, etc. Really first class!

My husband and I are SO VERY GRATEFUL that we booked a private tour with Awapuhi Adventures AND that the most wonderful Christopher was our guide. We stopped were we wanted and lingered as long or short as we wanted. Chris knows so much of the island history, about flowers and trees, and The Best Place to stop for banana bread and homemade chocolate with honey. He is a gentle soul….we loved spending time with him. At one stop, he played his Hand Pan. WOW. important note: he has the experience and skill to drive the Road to Hana and beyond. We would have been crying in a ditch. We continued all around the island and saw so many other sites. This trip was above and beyond…. Debra and Fred, Wisconsin

My husband and I signed up for the Private Road to Hana with Eli. Unlike small group tours to Hana, we were able to spend a decent amount of time outside the vehicle exploring beaches, waterfalls and hiking on the Pipiwai Trail known for its bamboo forest. Since Eli also works in the film industry as location scout, he knows many secret and beautiful places in and around Maui. He was able to take us to one lava cave not really known by others. He knows where to look for the most magnificent rainbow eucalyptus tree which is hidden from the main road. Eli is also a big supporter of local farmers, and so we stopped at this small fruit stand and introduced us to lilikoi. The farmer had cut the top off and we were able to sample the fruit right there and then. These experiences made this whole Road to Hana trip very special. Having the right private guide and being able to request to customize itineraries made a huge difference. Thank you, Awapuhi Adventures, for this amazing experience! Kathleen and Boris, Boston, MA
