Get that front row feeling for highlights of 30+ years of induction ceremonies. This epic hall of fame pays homage to our inductees through an immersive concert-quality production and a space for fans to share their own stories. Another milestone being celebrated is 50+ years since the start of Rolling Stone Magazine, the counterculture start up that rose to the top by covering the cross-section of music, politics and pop culture. Here's a short list of our permanent, featured exhibits that help us show off our collection: • Roots of Rock & Roll • The Beat Goes On: an interactive exhibit to show who influenced your fav band • Elvis • Legends of Rock: featuring Guns N' Roses, David Bowie, the Supremes, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Parliament Funkadelic and many more • Cities and Sounds: Motown, Psychedelic, Punk, Grunge... The unmistakable styles that put cities across the country and across the pond on the musical map. • The Beatles • The Rolling Stones • Jimi Hendrix

The HOF is a neat place to take in all the history of rock. The memorabilia is really cool to see. The history of all the inductees is awesome. The crowds can be a bit tedious but overall the experience was worth it all.

From the early beginnings to current day, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tells a great story about the music of our lives. From the early influences of blues and R&B, to Elvis, the British Invasion, the 60's and summer of love in '69 with Woodstock -- and everything in between until 2019's class of new HOF inductees-- it's a joy to remember those days and how it all affected our lives. From guitars and other instruments, to stage costumes and even handwritten lyrics, it all tells a story of the sudden rise, the tensions it created, and the love that it shared over the decades. There are a couple of interactive exhibits where you can play and sing, and a nice little restaurant inside and food trailers outside. When we visited, they had a stage out and live music playing. If you love music, and rock n roll music in particular, you will want to put this on your list.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio was so much fun to visit. We enjoyed learning about the roots and history of rock and roll, the development of the instruments that made it all possible, and the greatest performers of rock and roll who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. My favorite part of the museum, however, was on the second floor which was the "hands-on" portion of the museum. We got to play guitars, drums, basses, and keyboards, and take video "mini lessons" on the different instruments. The best part of the second floor was "The Garage." The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has crew members who hang out in The Garage to play music with anyone who wants to play. I picked up the bass, and played a three song set of the Band's "The Weight", the Beatles' "A Hard Days Night", and CCR's "Here Comes the Rain" with two crew members on drums and guitar. I also played a few songs with another "walk on" guitar player, with the crew members on drums and a second guitar. At The Garage they have a couple of notebooks full of chord sheets for songs from a wide variety of bands. Each RRHOF crew member in "The Garage" has to play at least two instruments. It was all super fun, and provides museum-goers with an ongoing stream of live music played by pick-up garage bands. Brilliant idea RRHOF!
