Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Get that front row feeling for highlights of 30+ years of induction ceremonies. This epic hall of fame pays homage to our inductees through an immersive concert-quality production and a space for fans to share their own stories. Another milestone being celebrated is 50+ years since the start of Rolling Stone Magazine, the counterculture start up that rose to the top by covering the cross-section of music, politics and pop culture. Here's a short list of our permanent, featured exhibits that help us show off our collection: • Roots of Rock & Roll • The Beat Goes On: an interactive exhibit to show who influenced your fav band • Elvis • Legends of Rock: featuring Guns N' Roses, David Bowie, the Supremes, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Parliament Funkadelic and many more • Cities and Sounds: Motown, Psychedelic, Punk, Grunge... The unmistakable styles that put cities across the country and across the pond on the musical map. • The Beatles • The Rolling Stones • Jimi Hendrix

Take your kids and think about the history and make some memories while you're at it. We started on the lower level and learned about Elvis, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones. Then we toured through Memphis, Detroit, London and New York. Took the escalator up to the third level and went to the ROCK EXPERIENCE, what a great show. Finished strong with Tom Petty and Prince jamming together on "while my guitar gently weeps", it gave me goose bumps. Went all the way up and watched the videos and took in the memorabilia. But my girls favorite floor was level 2, The Garage. An interactive experience where we played music, made a band name and stickers, and practiced guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. Definitely glad that we made this a priority on our trip.

We were here August 2 to celebrate our Anniversary with our young daughter and we Loved it here! My husband had previously been here many years ago but was happily surprised that the exhibits were totally different then they had been and that there was so much to do! We stayed for over 6 hours and enjoyed making up our band name, singing with the Awesome garage band our song, " Can't help falling in love" on our Anniversary! That was an Amazing experience! Thank you Garage Band!!! We loved dancing as others sang and performed too! The exhibits were fun to look at. We Loved the instruments to play on especially the drums and the electric guitar!! That was so Cool!!My daughter enjoyed seeing the fashionable outfits displays especially Cyndi Lauper's dress from "Girls just wanna have fun!" She was very excited to nominate her to be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame too!! Cyndi Lauper is her favorite singer! We enjoyed eating outside listening to the Reggae/ Carribean band and loved when my daughter requested our honeymoon song for us to dance to outside! We enjoyed the documentary on MTV. We just loved everything! My daughter could not find her little mini snake toys and so we back tracked back up to where we had been and she got hurt coming off the escalator and we were thankful someone walking by had a bandaid. We were happily surprised that the staff member was so quick and attentive and willing to try to help my daughter find her lost toys too! Luckily, they were in my purse! Excellent customer service! We Loved it here and had such a Fun Anniversary!! Thank you again to the Garage Band, the kind lady who videotaped us singing for us on our phones, and for all who contributed in making our day one of a kind Special Anniversary! We would've stayed later but we were on our way to Michigan. We can't wait to go back and see what will be there next time we visit! Great job mixing it up and making it so much Fun to visit , Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!! We'll be back singing and dancing again!

I lived only 30 miles away from this museum when it opened but never visited until now. The shape and feature of the building is a feat to behold. Once inside you will be overloaded with many musical displays. Travel throughout to find your favor genre and be sure to visit the arcade on the second floor. There is something for everyone. Helpful hint: You enter on level one but have to go down to the lower level to purchase tickets.
