I had been so looking forward to touring this place. It was to be the highlight of our trip driving home from Niagara Falls. It's a modern museum with six floors of Rock n' Roll history, most of is being memorabilia. Well, I am more interested in the music experience than seeing memorabilia. How many guitars and outfits does one need to see? Why is space wasted on a pinball machine room? Why was there no coverage of the Grateful Dead, the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and many others, yet Janet Jackson was nominated to be in the Hall of Fame this year! Really? We were there on a Saturday by default, not preference. I would hope it would be less crowded during the week. And as another reviewer noted, this place is loud! Fortunately I always have ear plugs on me. I had to wear them through all of the music theaters and my husband had to cover up his ears. (We're in our 60's folks...shouldn't have to do this.) The coverage on Woodstock and the Beatles where minimal. I'm glad I went to experience it but boy are they missing the boat on musicians that had no mention (Billy Joel, Elton John, The Eagles, Led Zepplin) Need I say more? Oh yes, there is ample parking at a reasonable price at the Science Center parking garage adjacent to the Hall of Fame. Cost is $9 with validation.
