What To Expect

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Get that front row feeling for highlights of 30+ years of induction ceremonies. This epic hall of fame pays homage to our inductees through an immersive concert-quality production and a space for fans to share their own stories. Another milestone being celebrated is 50+ years since the start of Rolling Stone Magazine, the counterculture start up that rose to the top by covering the cross-section of music, politics and pop culture. Here's a short list of our permanent, featured exhibits that help us show off our collection: • Roots of Rock & Roll • The Beat Goes On: an interactive exhibit to show who influenced your fav band • Elvis • Legends of Rock: featuring Guns N' Roses, David Bowie, the Supremes, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Parliament Funkadelic and many more • Cities and Sounds: Motown, Psychedelic, Punk, Grunge... The unmistakable styles that put cities across the country and across the pond on the musical map. • The Beatles • The Rolling Stones • Jimi Hendrix

Renaming to "Music Hall of Fame" will have a double benefit for both - you and customers visiting you. 1. You will receive more customers (not only those who THINK they will see only rock, but people who listen to all other kinds of music) which means higher profit for you. 2. People visiting you will know beforehand, they will see SOME rock among many other music, so they wont be misled and leave disappointed. Being a rock fan all my life, visiting the RnRHOF now at age 53, was the only reason putting Cleveland on our 2 weeks US tour itinerary. I really had great expectations, but after 2 hrs got out pretty disappointed and felt a bit cheated. Entry fee of 30$ (credit card only) is way too steep for what you get. You start from the -1 floor, which is the biggest one (due to the pyramid structure). Here you learn about the rock history and its roots in blues, Motown,...etc, starting from 50's over the 60's and 70's with Beatles and RS to 80's and 90's and this part was good - well presented and interesting, despite I saw there Beyonce, Lady Gaga... (What the hell they're doing there ???). Another interesting floor is I think, the 2nd floor where you can play or learn to play instruments with playback cover. The further up you go, the smaller and more desperate it gets with the culmination of despair on the Inductees floor. I could not believe so I double checked (as well later on the website) - no induction nor at least mention of rock legends like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Motley Crue,...., but you'll find Jaz Z, ABBA,...??? Don't get me wrong, I like ABBA, even been to their museum in Stockholm, but they're in Rock HOF???...come on. Same applies for the floor with bands memorabilia - no trace of Rock big names and legends, but you'll find Eminem, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Snoop dog,... This floor has little more memorabilia than any Hard Rock cafe, I really expected way more in quantity and way more of real rock. To conclude - DO NOT expect pure Rock & Roll, but as I said just a fraction of it.

We spent an incredible day at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The HOF features six floors of displays ranging from some of the very earliest Rock influences to today’s stars. We especially enjoyed the Beatles “Let it Be” exhibition that was featured while we were here. Seeing so many incredible items from most of the greatest stars in Rock history was mind-blowing. You just have to see it to believe it. In addition, the staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. The building is in a great location right near Lake Erie and a relatively short walk from our hotel. We spent around four hours here which seemed to be plenty of time take everything in. -The PowerTrippers

Awesome place to visit. Start at the bottom and work up to the top. It took us 5 hours to see as much as we could. Take your time you won't regret it. Loved all the videos and presentations. We went on a Wednesday, and it wasn't too crowded. Something for every fan of rock and roll!
