Over the years I have signed up with many climbing guides throughout the country for various outings. Clay and Ground Up Climbing Guides have by far been the best I have ever used. Clay and his team were very professional and a ton of fun. They took the time to really teach our group of youth (14-18 yr old young men) how to do everything they were doing. The boys had the opportunity to not only have fun climbing but belay each other as well. It was a great experience all the way around. Clay was super responsive and accommodating during the planning phase. The place he took us to climb was the best I have ever had a guide take us for a half day adventure. We will definitely be using Ground Up Climbing Guides again in the future.

Our large group of adults and teens very much enjoyed a morning of climbing near Horseshoe Lake with the Ground Up Climbing team! The guides were excellent and took care to make sure that our experience was fun and safe. They supplied all the gear we needed and made sure we had lots of direction in how to safely climb. My only tip is to wear long pants (made from appropriate material for climbing) to protect knees from scrapes.

Our family of four (kids:10 & 7) did a morning of climbing with Taz. We had never been outdoor rock climbing before and liked that it was educational and felt quite safe. The kids had a great time and got lots of climbing in. Highly recommend as an activity in the Mammoth area.
