I’ve now been on two trips with Ground Up Climbing Guides and I loved both trips. Clay is knowledgeable, friendly, laid back and organizes a great trip with a good balance of climbing and learning. Will definitely do another!

Clay was responsive and helpful when we were looking to book guided rock climbing in Mammoth. He coordinated a great location that was ideal for a range of skill levels. It was my first time climbing, and my husband's first time climbing outdoors, and I appreciated how he adjusted our climbs based on our experience. Clay was incredibly generous with his time, and you can tell that climbing is his passion. We also stumbled upon his kids climbing camp, and you can see how involved and supportive Clay is with the kids. I highly recommend booking Ground Up Climbing, whether you're a novice, a family with kids, or a more experienced climber. He can accommodate a range of skills and levels!

We had a great experience with Ground Up Climbing Guides! Our family of 6 (kids range in age from 11-21yrs.) all had an awesome time! It was the highlight of our trip to Mammoth Lakes. Everyone felt challenged, but also safe and supported. The guides were so encouraging and knowledgeable. They spent a lot of time with us and we never felt rushed. We were all beginners, but were able to make it up to the top of every climb. It was so fun, and the views were incredible! Would highly recommend!
