Rafting trips on the Rogue River depart eight times per day from Phoenix, Oregon. These trips offer the closest whitewater rafting to the Rogue River Valley and feature a steady progression from easy to larger rapids. Indigo Creek Outfitters provided our family (2 parents, a 7 yr old and an 11 yr old) with a great and expert rafting experience. They were responsive and prompt in setting up the trip. We came bumbling in a bit late, forgot our sunscreen, like typical annoying travellers, but they were very gracious about it. The training was well done, and came in handy when I popped out of the raft into the rapids. Our stellar guide Corby got me back in the raft very quickly, so it was more fun that scary. He also took us to a great swim spot, pointed out wildlife and a little history on the way, and took some gorgeous photos for us (free to download). The Rogue was beautiful, the difficulty level was perfect for us, and Corby was fun, kind, and great with the kids. His demeanor is so relaxed and sunny that you might not notice that he’s a very skilled, alert professional - but he is. Thanks, Indigo Creek - we’ll be back!

Our guides, Arden and Daniel, were excellent rafters and ambassadors for the rogue river area! Great conversation and info on the ride and back. Friendly and fun staff, easy parking and logistics. It was a good mix of calm and few thrilling spots. Our group of 9 from Seattle had a fantastic time. Nice touch at the end to enjoy beers and see the photos.
