Our raft guide was Hunter and he did a great job navigating the high water and instructing us all on what we were to be doing. He was fun and interactive and kept our group lively. Despite the obvious risks of going when the water is so high, we all felt completely confident in him as a guide. The wetsuits were definitely worth paying an extra $10 for as that water was COLD! I’ve gone rafting 4 times now and Lost Paddle was a great ma and pa kind of outfitter; I would definitely recommend going with them over a bigger company.

Tyler and Hunter were the best guides you can ask for! So knowledgeable and caring! This was the best experience me and my boyfriend have had in our lives! This was our first time and We will definitely be back and will request Tyler and Hunter for our guides again! You guys are rockstars! Thanks for the greatest day ever!!

The whole staff was very welcoming from the moment we walked in. They got us setup quickly with wet suits and protective gear. We wasted little time getting on our way. Tyler, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, yet firm when he needed to be. The river was rushing and he made sure we all knew what to do in case of any incidents. Which worked out well as I ejected in the first of 5 class 5s. I was able to get to the surface and it felt like he was right there to quickly pull me back in. I was really grateful for his calm and direct approach to ensuring everyone's safety as I was rescued. I was able to settle back in quickly. We continued to have a great time, filled with awesome rapids, banter and fun facts about the river and area. It was the highlight of our trip to the Royal Gorge area!
