Overview

Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

Easily one of my favorites of our trip! So nice to get away from the city and get back to nature for a little bit. Tour guide was incredible, very knowledgeable. Took a nice leisurely pace , easy to keep up and really look around the beautiful forest 🌳 🍄

Yuni, “The Mushroom Witch, shows genuine passion, love, and appreciation for nature throughout an approximate 1 mile long nature hike. Her knowledge of the local plants is incredible and her experiences are vast, as you would expect a person with 20 years of experience to be. Being an ally with nature, she amazingly articulates the importance of nature and simple ways we can be environmentally conscious. Being a novice witch myself and my wife an advanced one, we would love to hopefully see her offering nature hikes that are tailored to deepening newer or less practiced witches; something that allows opportunities for a more hands-on-learning experience. If you know nothing about witchcraft or find curiosity as to what it actually consists of, Yuni is definitely recommended and her knowledge is on point. It may also be a good inclusion to discuss common misconceptions about practicing witchcraft and herbs (like how white sage isn’t good for cleansing and the herb and “smudging” are closed practices) that beginners may not know. Thank you so much, Yuni! You’re an amazing human and a wonderful witch! Cheers,

Uni was super informative and very friendly! 100% recommend! 🍄 We hiked through the woods and stopped a few times to discuss plants and things within the Forrest!
