Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

This tour shows you a hidden gem in Salem that you otherwise would miss. The forest is absolutely beautiful in the fall and Uni was a great guide. It is a steep trail so definitely wear appropriate shoes. We were hoping to hear more local "folklore" tales, but it was very informational regarding plants and mushrooms.

We enjoyed our hike at Highland Park. Our guide was very informative about the different types of plants that grow there. We also learned a lot about mushrooms!

Unie (I'm sure I spelled it wrong so I apologize) is a very friendly, and knowledgeable mushroom which...I learned much from the tour and had a great time doing so...She went out if her way to look up stuff for Me to see if I could buy it online...I definitely recommend doing this tour!!!
