Overview

Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

Great tour with a lot of information. They do mention wearing walking shoes and I definitely recommend that. The tour lasted a little over an hour. I like the fact that there were stops during which Yuni (sorry for the misspelling) provided information about plants and their uses and herbal remedies. We were given ponchos which were greatly appreciated because we didn’t bring any rain gear. They also provided us with water. Great experience definitely recommend if you love nature like I do.

Uni was such a great tour guide! Uni shared some awesome knowledge about modern day witches. Would be a great tour for kids!! May have to come back next year :)

I loved this tour! I wish I could give more stars! If you are a nature/outdoorsy person this tour was made for you! The guide is so informative about plants, and especially mushrooms! Super super cool and beautiful during the fall time.
