Join your local guide for a fascinating trip back in history as they share the story of Salem’s founding in 1626 by Puritans whose search for religious freedom ultimately ended in a wave of fear, suspicion, and anger that gripped Salem for one fateful year. Your tour will include stops at some of Salem’s most popular locations, and some secluded off-the-beaten-path locations that very few tourists get to experience. Along the way, your guide, an experienced storyteller, will recount details of the witchcraft hysteria & Salem’s unique dark history.

This tour was our favorite of all the tours we took during our time at Salem and we took many. We took our tour with Maria and this is a sole reason why the tour was so fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and very engaging! Would recommended to anyone and everyone!

First time in Salem! This walking tour was so great! Very informative. Maria showed us all around and stopped at historical grounds throughout the city. also offered suggestions for food/shops! Very funny too!!

First time in Salem, and Maria did not disappoint! Not only did she provide super cool information about the town, she was so fun to take the tour with! She answered all questions we had, and gave us information about local restaurants and businesses as well. 10/10 would recommend touring with her!
