Join your local guide for a fascinating trip back in history as they share the story of Salem’s founding in 1626 by Puritans whose search for religious freedom ultimately ended in a wave of fear, suspicion, and anger that gripped Salem for one fateful year. Your tour will include stops at some of Salem’s most popular locations, and some secluded off-the-beaten-path locations that very few tourists get to experience. Along the way, your guide, an experienced storyteller, will recount details of the witchcraft hysteria & Salem’s unique dark history.

We booked this tour last minute and were so glad that we did! Maria was absolutely amazing!!! She was very detailed and informative and provided us with so much of the history of Salem. We truly had an awesome experience. Well worth it!!! Thank you Maria!!

Together with a friend we did a small Tour of Salem. Not only did we learn about the history of the 17th century Salem witch trials, but we also were introduced to several local establishments and recieved information of cool things to do in Salem at various times of the year. Our tour guide was Ms. Maria McQuaid and she did a phenomenal job. I would highly recommend this tour and thanks to her I definitely will be returning to Salem.

This tour was great & Maria was super knowledgeable. She made the tour fun & my fave part was seeing The Ropes Mansion. I’ll definitely be back for another tour & I highly recommend Secrets of Salem.
