Did the 8:00pm Salem Ghost tour last evening. My friend and I had Sam, and he was excellent. His knowledge of the area was impressive and he was charming and funny. I have worked in Salem for many years, and I learned so much of the area that I never knew. I did not do the extended tour, but would consider it next time. Highly recommend!

We were ready to leave Salem before the tour even started, but this ghost tour we booked for 7 pm was expensive and after paying $50+ for two people, we knew we couldn't miss it. You can pay extra for a detector (seemed cool, but nobody who had one seemed to have any spirit detection) and an extra 30 minute tour with more places included. Our guide's name was Nate. He said he had only been working there for a month, but it seemed much longer. He seemed experienced. He was an enjoyable guide, though, I did think he walked a little fast. This tour took you on an hour long walking tour around Salem to view "haunted" places including a book store, hotels and other stops. On each stop, Nate gave us a ghost story. We didn't see any ghosts or anything. Despite us wanting to leave before the tour started, we did enjoy our time.
