Our guide, Simon, was intoxicated and bored. He slurred his words, couldn’t remember the stories, and didn’t seem to believe a word he was saying. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t even aware he was speaking. My friend and I were SO excited for a ghost tour in Salem, MA. After taking many other ghost tours in other haunted cities, we were very excited for one in the historic city of Salem. Well, it easily was the worst ghost tour ever. We couldn’t imagine staying for an entire hour and listening to this bored, unenthusiastic man who couldn’t even remember what he was supposed to say. So, my friend and I left after the second story and emailed the company informing them that their guide was intoxicated and couldn’t put together a coherent story. We haven’t heard anything back, but we expect to be reimbursed because it was awful. They need to let this guy go. We looked up reviews on google and he’s a common thread in their low star reviews.
