Salt River Kayaking Trip

Overview
Starting at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, you and your group will kayak down a scenic five mile stretch of river as it moves it's way through the Tonto National Forest. Participants often witness wild horses, birds and other wildlife that cool off in the river during the summer months.

We have the special privilege of being the only kayak rental company located right on the Salt River, so our trips launch directly from our site. Each reservation includes a kayak (or with advance request a paddleboard), paddle, PFD/personal flotation device and return shuttle to starting site.

This is an UNGUIDED kayaking experience. While this is primarily a scenic float there are sections of swift water and kayakers often tip out – so be prepared to get wet.

great trip with our 84 yo dad who didn't have much kayaking experience. it worked out great! the first mile of the river was lovely and quiet. things got a bit raucous when the paddle boarders joined the river. then the last 1.5 miles quieted again when they took out. go early in the morning for birds and solitude and heat avoidance!

Gliding across the water with friends was an unforgettable experience. The kayaks were comfortable and easy to maneuver, making for a relaxing journey. We enjoyed the stunning scenery and the peaceful atmosphere on the water. This is an activity I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable time.
