This is a must see sight in Hawaii, a great location to visit. The bus tour that takes you through Waikiki and out to Pearl Harbor was fantastic. It was a double decker bus and if you’re getting on the bus from the Ilikai hotel you can get up top to the front row. The bus driver is also the tour guide and the guy was hilarious. Once you get to Pearl Harbor the vibe of the tour changes as you are visiting a cemetery, unfortunately the tour guides at Pearl Harbor who are park rangers obviously have a power complex. They briefed the guest before you get on the boat to go out to the Arizona as if you are children. Instead of an inviting hospitable approach they talk to you like your recruits joining the Navy. Basically the Rangers have a personality of TSA agents. So be prepared to be treated like a child, and you can only bring bottled water with you. In addition the tour bus departs at 12 so you don’t have too much time to visit the aviation museum or the Missouri. Each one of those museums take about two hours to view so if you go there be careful you may not have enough time to see the museum and catch your boat to the Arizona. There is a free shuttle that runs every 10 min to the aviation museum and Missouri and Back to the main museum. The bus tour was awesome, the memorial was great to see, the park rangers we’re not so friendly.
