We really enjoyed the double decker bus tour. Our tour guide, the great W.C. Calhoun really knows many facts about San Antoino and was very funny. Even when we were detoured to another street he told us facts about that area. The boat tour was great too.

I love hop-on and -off buses and I've done them all over the US and Europe. Where this ranks on the scale was firmly in the middle. Not a bad tour, but not riveting or amazing. I felt like it was worth the money I saved on Ubers/Lyfts to get around the city, and we definitely learned a bit about the city, so overall I would say it was still worth it. But the best part of buying the bus/river boat combo package was definitely the river boat. That, I highly recommend. It's a quick tour, less than an hour, but we got to see parts of the riverwalk that we hadn't seen before. Overall, I'm glad we got them both!

Grateful our hotel was central to the Hop bus and boat ride. Although initially dismayed I could’ve purchased tix for a much lower price on site, we were nonetheless pleased with the excursions. Definitely used the hopping bus privileges; we sure did.
