Great way to get to know the city. Hop on hop off is a great idea as buses will pick you up where you got dropped off every 20-30 minutes. River cruise is not an on and off tour. It is a 35-45 minute route on the River walk. Make sure you bundle the 2 tours in a package as you will save money! Some tour guides are better than others but you will be entertained and learn a few things from them all.

Can't wait to revisit San Antonio. We stayed downtown on the Riverwalk. The scenery was so serene . I felt like I was in Aruba or the Bahamas. Palm trees, beautiful foliage, the weather was beautiful, the ride down the river on the riverboat was serene. T he price for the riverboat was affordable, so seat on the boat was bad for seeing the town from the boat and the best part of the riverboat was your ticket allowed you to ride practically all day!! The food was DELICIOUS and affordable. Everyone seem to have been in a festive mood. Electric scooters were readily available as an option to getting around downtown. Service was excellent!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Riverwalk at the Hotel Valencia, a beautiful hotel off the river with all the amenities desired including a great restaurant off the river with great service and delicious food.

Derek was a great bus driver and very helpful to get the most of 48 hours in SA. The additional tour guides situated at the Alamo square were just as good. Nice teamwork!
