My adult daughter and I visited the San Antonio Zoo on 3/6/19. It was a great experience and the grounds were spotless. Being March it was not crowded, so we enjoyed that! This zoo is endless. It has everything you would want to see in a zoo! It has a childrens park. It has a carousel that we adults rode. It has a train station accross the road that you should ride also. We had the Exployer Pass which included the zoo. So check that out. The employees were also very friendly.

We have visited this zoo several times over the last few years. The San Antonio Zoo is continuing to make steady improvements every year. The animal exhibits are getting updated and the attention to details continue to improve every year. This zoo is on the smaller side but it does a nice job of showcasing what it does have. The grounds are clean and the landscaping crew does an excellent job with the display of flowers. The areas that have been updated look wonderful and seem to make the lives of the animal inhabitants an improvement from previous years. I hope that they have a plan for the back part of the zoo as it definitely needs an update. This was the only area that was lacking and disappointing. The gift shops sold the standard merchandise for decent prices. We definitely enjoyed our visit and this will continue to be a place we come back to at least a couple of times a year.

This place is impressive (although some attractions are still under construction) ,clean, and organized. You just have to follow the map so as not to miss any attraction. I rode the camel with my grandson who is two and 10 months old and it was an awesome experience for both of us. He kept saying, "good camel" as we rode a bit in the corral.
