I had the day off from work and decided to checkout the San Antonio Zoo. My buddy's kids were still out of school and wanted to go with. They love the zoo so much, there were so many different kinds of animals there. The highlight of the day was being able to feed the giraffe. The San Antonio zoo had so many different interactive activities for both the adults and kids. But make sure to bring some extra cash because it adds up.

It was definitely a smaller zoo, which we were able to get through in about three hours taking our time. We did the beastly breakfast with the giraffes and it was incredible. Due to bad weather I think people were cancelling and uncertain about it, so we ended up being the ONLY family at the breakfast. The giraffe caregivers sat next to us and answered questions and told us a lot about the animals. It was an incredible experience and definitely worth the extra expense. We were able to have a feeding and get to know details on each of the 3 giraffes personalities. The zoo itself is well maintained. There are lots of birds here it seemed to me. A cute little aquarium as well. It was definitely worth the visit. We did the fun pass so we could have the train ride, carousel ride and butterfly exhibit. The train ride was a decent length and informative.

My husband's family had their summer get-together in San Antonio. This year we decided to go the zoo. It was a very nice experience, although it was very hot. The kids enjoyed it and we would probably go back.
